BUSEK LEADERSHIPKurt Hohman - Director, Electrothermal Thrusters GroupKurt is responsible for conducting research focused on radio frequency plasma production and applications. He led the development of a micro RF ion thruster, capable of throttling thrust precisely over a wide range. Kurt is also conducting research in ion beam and ion thruster development; a unique air breathing ion thruster, an atomic oxygen ion accelerator for satellite materials drag measurements, and RF/microwave cathodes. In addition, he is researching dielectric barrier discharges and ion coating technologies. He has 20 years experience in related fields. Mr. Hohman received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the Ohio State University in 1992 and 1995, respectively.
