POWER MANAGEMENT
Busek has been actively developing and delivering power management systems, including compact power processing units and
spacecraft power management and distribution systems.
POWER PROCESSING UNITS (PPUs)
Busek has designed, developed, and delivered PPUs for R&D, laboratory support, and flight programs.

BPU-600 includes the following:

POWER MANAGEMENT AND DISTRIBUTION (PMAD) SUBSYSTEMS
Busek has been developing a complete suite of power management and distribution electronics for small to mid-size spacecraft,
including, but not limited to, the following:

Battery charge regulation

Custom DC / DC conversion

Solar array management

Bus Voltage regulation

Digital / analog interface
DISTURBANCE REDUCTION SYSTEM (PAYLOAD, LISA PATHFINDER)
Four PPUs, each dedicated to a separate thruster, provide required Voltages necessary to
operate each thruster. Eight were delivered in all. Four PPUs are commanded by a single
DRS DCIU.

MPACS (PAYLOAD, FALCONSAT-3)
The MPACS high voltage charging and trigger electronics operate each 3-axis micro-
pulsed plasma thruster. These units include signal conditioning electronics, filtered into
the onboard Busek MPACS DCIU.
